St. Michael Mission House

This is St. Michael Mission House, located in Steyl, The Netherlands, the mother house of the Society of the Divine Word. Here hundreds of missionaries were send out to the mission by her founder now St. Arnold Janssen to many countries in the five continents of the world. Today there number will now reach to 6250 plus members of priests and brothers who identified themselves as religious-missionary. Society of the Divine Word was founder in 1875 by St. Arnold Janssen, a German born diocesan priest, whose dream was to dream was to proclaim the Word which is Jesus, the Incarnate Divine Word, to all people of every language and culture. St. Arnold Janssen also founded sisters missionary congregation, the SSpS or the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Spirit or the "blue sisters" and the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration or the "Pink Sisters". The Blue Sisters are the active missionaries while the "pink Sisters" are the contemplative one.
It is a great blessing from the Lord that these three Missionary Congregations founded by St. Arnold are flourishing and becomes God instrument to let the God's love be felt by all people. Let us pray continually that "the Lord of the harvest sent more laborers to His vineyard".
